Welcome to In Ink! We’re excited you’re here. Please read these Terms of Service (the “Terms”) carefully because they explain your rights and responsibilities when you use In Ink.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account or using our website (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to follow these Terms. If you don’t agree, you shouldn’t use our Service.

2. Who We Are

In Ink (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a service that lets customers create personalized messages which we then write and mail on their behalf. We are based in the United States.

3. Creating an Account

You need an account to place orders. You agree to keep your login details confidential and to let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized use. You must be at least 18 years old to use In Ink.

4. How Orders Work

  • Pay-as-You-Go: We don’t offer subscriptions. Instead, you pay per card or message you want us to send.

  • Cancellation: You can cancel your order in your web admin portal until the letter is actually being written and mailed. Once we’ve begun writing and fulfillment, you can’t cancel.

  • Refunds: Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you have concerns, please reach out at support@inink.ai, and we’ll do our best to help.

5. Payment Processing

We work with third-party payment processors. When you make a purchase on In Ink, you also agree to their terms. We’re not responsible for any issues that arise from those services, but let us know if you have problems and we’ll do our best to help.

6. Your Content

  • User-Generated Content: Our Service might allow you to enter contact information for recipients, including personal addresses, as well as your own custom messages. You’re responsible for the accuracy and legality of what you enter.

  • Ownership: You (or whoever owns the rights) continue to own any content you submit. We only use it to fulfill your order. We aren’t claiming any extra rights to your content.

7. Privacy and Data Use

  • We Don’t Sell Your Data: We promise never to sell your personal information.

  • Third-Party Services: We do use third parties to help run In Ink—things like order fulfillment, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics. We share your data with these services only to the extent necessary to process and mail your messages, process payments, or improve our Service.

  • Privacy: We operate primarily in the U.S. and comply with applicable laws. If you’re in California or elsewhere, you may have additional rights regarding how your data is collected and used. If you have privacy-related questions, please contact us at support@inink.ai.

8. Prohibited Use and Account Termination

We want In Ink to be a pleasant, safe service. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account if we believe you’re using the Service for distasteful, threatening, or otherwise harmful activities. We also reserve the right to discontinue all or part of the Service if we choose.

9. No Warranties

We do our best to make In Ink awesome, but we provide our Service “as is” and “as available.” We make no guarantees, warranties, or representations about the reliability, accuracy, or availability of In Ink or the letters we send on your behalf.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, In Ink won’t be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages. If we’re found liable for anything, our total liability won’t exceed the amount you paid us for the specific order that gave rise to the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make big changes, we’ll let you know, for example by email or a notice on our site. Your continued use of In Ink after changes become effective means you’re okay with the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state where we operate, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. If there’s a legal dispute, you agree to resolve it in the state or federal courts located in that state.
